Inside Out: Patterns of Initiation and Barriers to Transformative Change

In this paper I discuss barriers to change in society. I suggest that the lack of religious and spiritual values and Eros [relatedness] glue are significant barriers to change in our present secular age and consumer society. I suggest that creative individuals are the source of change and that there is a need to be aware of both destructive and creative forces at work and not to be naive about the former.
